This root vegetable dish is one of our most famous appetizers. The chef oven bakes the yucca to retain its sweetness and delicate interior and then it is flash pan-fried to create a golden crust. It is served with a creamy, slightly spicy Chipotle sauce with freshly chopped cilantro.

Made by simmering soaked, dried black beans for hours, seasoned with cumin, chili powder and black pepper.
Green (unripe) plantains are peeled, sliced length-wise, diagonally, or width-wise, and then twice fried. The raw slices of plantains are fried for one to two minutes on each side until they are golden in color, and removed and patted for excess cooking oil. Afterwards, they are pounded flat with a hinged utensil. The flattened plantain slices are then fried once again until they are crisp and golden brown.
Sweet ripe Caribbean plantains slowly broiled in flavored water, and flash fried in vegetable oil to bring out the golden crust.

Decidi llevar a mi novia a Rebecca's en Edgewater por nuestro aniversario y quedamos encantados de este lugar. La atmosfera muy romantica, la comida deliciosa. Mi novia pidio Churrasco, y yo pedi los Camarones Verdes. Wow, que exquisita la salsa verde, y el flan es de otro planeta.
El servicio es muy amigable y muy atento!! Y el BYOB para llevar mi propia botella, es una excelente opcion para aquellos que nos gusta disfrutar de un buen vino con excelente comida.
We had our wedding anniversary party here. The BYOB service is great, everyone was able to bring their favorite drinks and we embellished in the food and music. The best part? The owners came over, spoke to us and found out it was our anniversary. They asked us for our wedding song, and then played it for my wife and I to dance after dinner. You can't beat that!
The food here is consistently good, I have been here on weekdays, weekends, on holidays when they have prix fixes and on days when there are barely people here - consistently these guys put out a great experience and meals that always delight. This is one of my favorite restaurants the the greater Northern New Jersey area.
